Pressing through Life's Trials

The Bible clearly teaches that God loves those who are His children and He “works all things together for good” (Romans 8:28) And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. So that means that the trials and tribulations He allows in our lives are part of
the working together of all things for good.

GOD has plans for us but we can miss out on the best GOD has for us if we are living in sin or not being doers of the word.

What we must do is follow the guide who is the HOLY SPIRIT, HE is our guide, and our helper, GOD knows the landmines and traps satan and his demons or fallen angels have for us. So if we want the best GOD has for us we must follow the guide, and keep our FAITH.

Therefore, for the believer, all trials and tribulations must have a divine purpose. GOD allows trouble, not to destroy us but to develop us. It's not about Punishment, it's about Preparation.

The Battle is harder for some than others, but we are all in a Battle.

You're expected to WIN

1 Corinthians 10:13
13.There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.  The Fight is Fixed.

There are no good wars only good Soldiers.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

As in all things, God’s ultimate purpose for us is to grow more and more into the image of  His Son (Romans 8:29) This is the goal of the Christian, and everything in life, including the trials and tribulations, are designed to enable us to reach that goal. It is part of the process of sanctification; that is, being set apart for God’s purposes and fitted to live for His glory.

Peter 1:6-7: "In this, you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, that the gold proof of your faith, being more precious than  which perishes, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ." The true believer’s faith will be made sure by the trials we experience so that we can rest in the knowledge that it is real and will last forever.

Trials develop godly character, and that enables us to "rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; character; and, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us” (Romans 5:3-5). Jesus Christ set the perfect example. "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). These verses point out aspects of His divine purpose for both Jesus Christ's trials and tribulations and ours. Persevering proves our faith. "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13).

At the same time, we must be careful never to make excuses for our "trials and tribulations" if they are a result of our own wrongdoing. "By no means let any of you suffer as a murderer, or thief, or evildoer, or a troublesome meddler" (1 Peter 4:15). God will forgive our sins because the eternal punishment for them has been paid by Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. However, we still have to suffer the natural consequences in this life for our sins and bad choices. But God uses even those sufferings to mold and shape us for His purposes and our ultimate good.

Trials and tribulations come with both a purpose and a reward. "Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." "Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to those who love Him" (James 1:2-4,12).

Through all of life’s trials and tribulations, we have the victory. "But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord, Jesus Christ." These verses encourage us to see that although we are in a spiritual battle, Satan has no authority over the believer in Christ. God has given us His Word to guide us, His Holy Spirit to enable us, and the privilege of coming to Him anywhere, at any time, to pray about anything. He has also assured us that no trial will test us beyond our ability to bear it, and “he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it” (1 Corinthians 10:13).

Bear in mind, all the while, that the blessed Lord looks upon you with eyes of unchanging love. All your sinful wanderings have not produced the smallest diminution of His faithful love for you. Think of this. Turn the thought over in your mind, “He loves me, notwithstanding all,” and with the thought of that true, strong, tender, eternal love, carry your confession into the presence of God. “Take with you words, and turn to the Lord,” and He will heal your backsliding and fill your heart with joy once more.
But be sure you offer no excuses for your declension.

Our greatest foe is ourselves, and in turning to the Lord we will do well.“Come,” and let us return unto the Lord: for, He will heal us; 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness He hath smitten, and He will bind us up. After two days will He revive us: in the third day He will raise us up.” A period of time is thus anticipated between the turning of their souls to the Lord and the revival and raising up that will come from Him.

This period of time allows the soul passing through exercise, and its reality to be tested. But if its attitude of true contrition and self-judgment is maintained, the restoration is as certain as the forgiveness; and we may be sure that God will not keep one waiting a longer time than is sufficient for the needful lessons to be learned.

The Holy Spirit directs our hearts to His love, and in being engaged with Himself, the blessedness we longed for is ours once more.

To conquer backsliding, we must remember these things:
· Whatever God is asking you to do, He doesn’t ask you to do it on your own. He only wants your willingness to let Him help us do it.
· When faced with temptation, we must choose to ask for God’s intervention.
· We must repeat point two over and over again with each new temptation. When we fail, we ask forgiveness and surrender the problem again.
· We must thank Him for the work He does for us.
. We must be willing to do His bidding, we must ask for strength and we must ask forgiveness when we fail. Most of all, we must thank Him for His love and the effort He puts into us. He is trying to make us like Christ and that’s something to be thankful for.

Challenges will come and go through our entire lives. They are the things that shape us and mold us into God’s image if we let Him work on us. There will be successes and failures but the success and failure are not about the thing being asked, they are about the willingness to let God do them. We’ll move ahead sometimes and other times, we’ll slide back. What remains constant is God’s willingness to forgive us and let u Try Again.

Revelation 12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

Isaiah 55:11
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall
accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

When we are born again - when we have made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life and we have entered the kingdom of God - then the fruit of that relationship will be righteousness (which comes as a result of salvation), peace, and joy. You can expect peace and joy to become a part of your daily life when you are a Christian - but just like all the other benefits of the kingdom of God, these attributes come at a price.

We are in the times that try men's souls, the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. Heaven knows how to put a proper price on its goods.

The Bigger the Battle, The Bigger the Blessing, Being a disciple of Jesus Christ is not easy. God's salvation may be free, but discipleship is costly. The gifts of the Spirit may also be freely given, but they are not cheap. Our preparation for God's eternal purpose is as rigorous spiritually, as an Olympic athlete's training is, naturally - even more so, because the outcome of our training has eternal ramifications. Learning to hear God's voice is a lifelong process. God's preparation in our lives is part of His eternal design.

Jesus said, No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God (Luke 9:62). We can't look back. We must press on in this walk with Christ - we must learn to hear His voice and obey His commands. Only then will we experience His joy and peace. Without great trials, we would have no great victories. The Lord reveals Himself in the difficulties of life as our Deliverer, our Sufficiency, and our Lord. The psalmist tells us, Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers [us] out of them all (Psalm 34:19).

If we are really serious about walking with God, He will teach us, and guide us, and comfort us, and yes, we will know His peace in our life. In fact, as we mature in your walk with the Lord, peace, and joy will be multiplied to us. It is an interesting paradox that our heavenly Father orchestrates in our lives. On the one hand, our trials increase as we grow stronger in the Lord. On the other hand, the fruit of the Spirit - including peace and joy - develop to the point that we are given grace to weather the trials, and the rest of our lives are filled with harmonious fellowship with God.

We should expect to experience God's peace in our lives. If you are not walking in peace, it may be as a result of several different scenarios. It may be that you are in the midst of a particular test or trial sent from God. Or you may be under attack from the devil. Or you may have an area of your life that you have not yet surrendered completely to God. The Lord intends for you to have peace. If you are not experiencing God's peace on an ongoing basis, you may need to ask the Holy Spirit to show you:
